Using traditional fixed line audio integration

Use your telephone to receive a call-back or to dial in.


Setting your default call-back information as a host

  1. Log into your WebEx account
  2. Select My WebEx —> Preferences —> Audio Set up.
  3. Enter the appropriate information with your preferred contact details. Remember to select the Call Me option for those numbers to be available when you want the system to dial out to you.

Schedule a meeting with audio integration using the WebEx Meeting Manager Console

You can schedule a meeting which uses audio integration either via the WebEx Meeting Manager Console or via Microsoft Outlook.

Schedule your meeting online using the WebEx Meeting Manager Console

  1. Select the Change audio option.
  2. Meeting Manager Console - Change audio option
  3. Select the MeetMe account which is linked to your WebEx account.
  4. Select whether you want your participants to call in or receive a call back.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Save as Template for future use. You will then be able to select this template from Outlook when scheduling future meetings that require audio integration.

Dial out to yourself and other participants

Using WebEx audio integration, you can dial out to yourself (host and participants) or to the participants invited to your meeting (host only):

  1. From within the WebEx session, click the Connect to Audio button on the Quick Start page.

  2. Click the Call Me dialog box and:
    • Select country/region from the drop down menu.
    • Enter the phone number to call.
    • Click Call Me.

When you connect to the WebEx session, you will see an audio indicator: Audio indicator next to the names of those who joined in this manner.

Dial in to your WebEx meeting

  1. From within the WebEx session, click the Connect to Audio button on the Quick Start page.

  2. Click the I Will Call In button and:
    • Choose a number to dial in to:
        - Select one of the numbers provided in the 'Call' section, or
        - Click View global numbers for a list of all available dial-in numbers
    • Dial the chosen number from your phone and, when prompted, enter the access code as displayed
    • Enter your Attendee ID
    Call in - select and dial number

When you connect to the WebEx session, you will see an audio indicator: Audio indicator next to the names of those who joined in this manner.

Inviting a participant by phone

  1. In the Participant menu, select Invite and Remind

  2. Click the Phone icon and:
    • Enter the Invitee name to display
    • Select the country/region from the drop down menu
    • Enter the phone number to call
    • Click Call

Touchtone commands available when connected by phone

  • * 0 Access dedicated BT Conferencing helpdesk support.
  • # 0 Conference help menu: Lists all touch-tone commands available to the chairperson and the participants.
  • * 6 Mute on/off: Reduces the background noise in a noisy environment. To deactivate muting, press * 6 again.
